WHITEHOUSE STATION, NJ — Nancy Rumpf, QuickChek Corporation’s Leader of Benefits & Recognition, has been named one of the Top Women in Convenience by Convenience Store News magazine.
Now in its seventh year, it is the industry’s first and only awards program that recognizes the important role women play in convenience retailing as managers and leaders in the $648 billion c-store industry.
Rumpf, a Hunterdon County resident, is one of just 21 senior-level leaders and one of 53 women overall who will be honored for their outstanding contributions to their company and to the industry at an awards ceremony scheduled Oct. 12 around the 2020 NACS industry trade show in Las Vegas.
The honorees were chosen by the magazine, the convenience retailing industry’s leading publication, based on nominations from their peers that highlighted their accomplishments and achievements over the past 12 months.
Rumpf began her career with the Whitehouse Station, NJ-based fresh convenience retailing chain in 1991 with a role in the company’s finance department. She transitioned into Human Resources as a benefits specialist before being promoted to Leader of Benefits & Recognition in 1997, where she concentrates on the health and wellness of QuickChek’s 4,600 employee team members.
In this role, she encourages adopting a healthier lifestyle and provides the tools and resources necessary that have led to the company maintaining a healthier and happier work population.
Rumpf also has a strong focus on QuickChek’s recognition program which is designed to reward and celebrate individual and team achievements and goals in furthering the family-owned company’s mission of being a “Great Place to Work, a Great Place to Shop, and a Great Place to Invest.”
